her
Story
Zianna was born on January 23rd, 1998, in Brooklyn, NY. Ever since Zianna was a toddler, she was passionate and interested in dancing, performing, choreography, and putting on a show. Growing up, Zianna was involved in different dance groups and was a competitive cheerleader on the Brooklyn Diamonds cheerleading team, which allowed her talents to flourish and taught her the value of creativity and working in large groups. She also spent a lot of her teenage years competing on a swim team in swim meets where she learned the importance of committing to something and seeing it through, no matter how difficult or uncomfortable the circumstances were.

Zianna became a dance instructor at the age of 13 working with different after school programs and summer camp programs such as D.F.O.Y. and TCOTOD Summer Day Camp. Those experiences pushed and challenged her as a choreographer, as well as a teacher. It gave her the experience to work with children of all ages, both girls and boys. In 2018, she became a teacher at Lotus Creations Academy working with young kids and older teenagers. She later became the Creative Director of LCA’s travel team. Throughout 2019, two of her choreographed routines, performed by LCA's travel team, were filmed and aired on News 12 Brooklyn.

In 2019, just a few months prior to the COVID world pandemic, Zianna created the 'More Than Dance' series. In search of a space to not only dance, but to also escape and find healing through movement, fellowship, and creativity, she realized the only way to find that space was to create it on her own. In her classes, she uses her own experiences as well as life and performance lessons to inspire each and every person in the room. She pushes them to embrace the best version of themselves and believe that there's nothing they can not accomplish. Each class experience is truly MORE Than Dance.

Zianna has had the pleasure of having her work premiere on stages such as the Apollo Theater, when she got the opportunity to work with and choreograph for the 90's R&B Group "Intro". Though still early in her dance career, she has been able to dance for artists such as Konshens, Jay Shepherd, Arita Worldwide, J. Brown, and more. In addition to choreographing and dancing for many artists, Zianna has performed in showcases such as Sybarite Productions with choreographers/groups such as Kiana Marie, Dsolez, Berry Productions, Powerhouse Dance Company, and Kevin 'Hazard' Holmes just to name a few. She was also booked to perform for GOOGLE at their K&I Black Googlers Summit in 2022, under Jevon 'Jerzey' Goldson.

Zianna's journey is just beginning and the More Than Dance brand is on the rise. Her hope is that each experience is learned from and each connection is impactful, as she shines her light and makes her mark in the world.
